"I will."

There's a passage that jumped out at me in recent months that I wanted to share. It's found in Mark 1:40-42 and in Luke 5:12-14. There's a leper who is absolutely certain that Jesus can cure him of his disease. The only thing that would keep him from being clean is if it were not the Lord's will, and he acknowledge that by saying "If you will, you can make me clean." I think Jesus really respected and appreciated the faith and respect that this man showed... the passage says that Jesus was moved with pity, and said to the man, "I will; be clean."

This example of faith is inspiring to me. I felt God calling me to pray for things not questioning if He has the ability... not even asking God, but just having faith that if it's His will, He will do it. And as I started praying for certain things in this way, I heard the words ringing in my head, "I WILL... I will."

God WILL be faithful to keep His promises, in His timing. He DOES promise to continue His work in us until the day of Christ's return... and this is for the glory of His name. And whatever we ask in His name --for His glory-- we will receive (John 14:13-14).
